I updated my desktop settings to 1024×768 from

800×600 .When i did this the opera web and other aps gave me fits a for two days as i searched for better font settins.

( TIPS)

on where to look.

~/.gtkrc

~/.gtkrc-2.0

~/.qt/qtrc

(tools)

tool for changing gtk fonts a plain text editor any.

tools for qt3 : use qtconfig.

tools for opera : use opera built in config.

(opera)

type opera:config into opera’s url space.

look for font menu and change to find a font size you like.

(firefox2)

i’m not using firefox3 but there is a update for new firefox2 build.

I updated my firefox2.

you have to look under alturnitive downloads at mozilas site but it’s their and it works good.

I don’t need no firefox3. firefox2 still works and is still updated.

FIREFOX:
firefox is over rated and slow.
And I don’t think firefox3 works with older legacy versions of linux. The last time i tride to use firefox3 beta it wold not work even with ( export LD_LIBRARY_PATH= ) .

firefox gtk crap :
firefox is a gtk2 .
Opera is QT.
Opera also has QT legacy...
 versions for linux.

So opera woks on a lot of flavors of linux.
Opera supports validated web standards.
FIREFOX is a hacked to gether mod of this and that.

so what if firefox is opensource .
I could never compile their source code it’s need
a crap load of dev kits and libraries. and firefox is to (GTK2.+) centric.

The older version of firefox2 worked ok for me
but i can’t get firefox3 to work for crap.

I give up and i will just keep using opera for now.

opera9.5 is buggy mplayerplug-in NO longer works but will pass (. mpg) url’s to xine to play video files with.

( conclusions) :

I still prefer to use the mplayerplug-in that i compiled for short video clips. So im’ using oper9.2.7 for now until firefox3 and opera9.5 come up with a fix.

Boston beats L.A. in a laugher .

In the end the Celtic defence kept them alive during the times when their offense struggled.
A lot of players struggle to produce offense in the crunch when it’s money time.
But when you can play hard defence you can buy enough time to probe your opponents defence and find a week spot to strike.

The Laker soft spot :

I remember when teams started their offence in the post.
playing from the post puts alot of presure on the opponents
individual and team defense.

all his offense started from the out side and he plays no defence.
That should tell the leage something.

Did Boston blow game 5 on purpose just to go back to Boston and win on their home court.

The NBA is rigged so this may be the case.

Would you rather win in LA are go back to Boston and win in a blow out on your home court.

Who stands to gain from the extra income rev from playing more games.

I don’t think Boston lost on purpose .
Boston is not the same team after Perkins went down with a injury. Boston is a little softer with out Perkins in the paint scrap for rebounds and playing D.
Garnet needs to step up and own gasoft and Odem if Boston realy wants to win the NBA finals.

What did I say a few post back ?

the NBA is like professinal wrestling it’s fixed.
WOW dah they make more money off of 7 games series.
They want to make as much money as they can,
and they don’t care who they screw in the proces.

be carefull how you spend your money.

If I bought tickets for NBA games i would want a refund.

it’s allways about the money.

When something dosn’t look right or sound right , Then you know the fix is in and someomes getting paid off.

this will all get swept under the rug

the NBA has alot of pull with the sports media,.
